Hi
all,
My
post today is about a gel eyeliner that's from L'Oreal, L'Oreal is a pretty
trusted brand so I had high expectations. The Liner is called Super Liner Gel
Intenza.
BOX: FRONT PACKAGING
BOX: SIDE PACKAGING
BOX: SIDE PACKAGING
I
received this in a beauty box for £15 which was filled with lots of goodies
inside. Some of the things that was included was a mini Benefit porefessional,
a set fake eyelashes, a Stila lip glaze ...
BUT
today's review is about the eyeliner. Currently I'm using a maybelline liquid
eyeliner which is like a pen, I prefer these shapes as opposed to the ones
where you are dipping the stick into the eyeliner because i find pen eaiser to
use. Personally I find you get easier control so you get a more accurate line.
:D but that's just person opinion. For a pencil eyeliner I'm using Bourjois,
which is another intense black that I really like!
I've
never ever used gel eyeliner so I thought it would take a while to get into the
hang of using it properly but I was totally wrong, it was very easy to apply
even a thin line. The brush is supplied and it is pretty small making a thin
line more easier to draw.
The
gel eyeliner is a smooth and creamy texture that applies easily on to the brush
without creating a dip in the pot. It always annoys me when you press too hard
with lip balms or body butter and you create a gaping indent, I like the
surface nice and smooth :) Maybe that's just me ^_^
There
are 2 versions of this product where the colours differ between them, only
slightly but then again you want to buy stuff that is EXACTLY what you're
looking for. So, number 1 version is the Pure Black and number 2 version is
Golden Black.
I
received the Golden Black one and it is really pretty. It's not jet black but
still pretty dark and then it is slightly glittery as well, for that gold
touch. When you look at the liner it looks pretty gold, like shimmery in the
light, but once you apply it on, it isn't that noticeable. This is why I like
it, because you can tell it is still black one the eyelid but then it has a
slight glittery look to it, making the colour less harsh.
The
brush also comes with the eyeliner and is the perfect match for the pot, the
brush is pretty small so you can draw thin lines easily and then to create
thicker lines/ more dramatic smoky eyes you can simply fill in the line on the
eyelid. L'Oreal are also very thoughtful as they provide a lid on the brush
which is better than wrapping the brush in a plastic case as it is more
hygienic.
Moreover,
this gel liner is both WATERPROOF and 24 HOUR LASTING. I would agree that it is
waterproof because it did take a while before I was able to get it all
off using make up remover. However, I can't promise that this liner lives up to
its 24 hour claim because I haven't tried. I'd say that so far, the longest
time I've had it on is about 10 hours and it was still solidly on there with
the colour not have faded at all. So, who knows, maybe it can last that long!
Here
are two pictures of the eyeliner on me. I didn't go over the line several times
but if you did, I'm sure you'd get a much darker and defined line.
Ah,
I have such awkward eyes...I wish the brown centre and outer dark ring were
bigger :'(
Anyway,
as you can see, my line is quite noticeably black and just from looking, you
can't see any gold tinge.
Therefore:
Durability: : Lasts very long and
maintains the darkness, ie. no fading
Ease of use: : I was super surprised and very
impressed, the easiest liner I've ever used and now I use it all the time
Comfort: : Very light, no itchiness and doesn't
cause the eyelid skin, which is very sensitive, to become dry
RESULT???
I
<3 it so much!!! The price is very reasonable for the quality of the
product, I have seen it in different drug stores, make up stores etc and the
price does vary but it's roughly between 8 pounds and 9 pounds. I really
recommend it for everybody because it's even simple for beginners to use. I am
very happy with the gel liner and would definitely repurchase it!
Thank
you for reading, hope you enjoyed the post and I'll see you soon with a recipe
for the yummiest Japanese sponge fruit cream cake!
